Derek & Stephanie Burke
Derek & Stephanie live in Scituate with their two children and are the owners of Lenny's Hideaway (an awesome Mexican style restaurant ) at 8 Stagecoach Way in Cohasset. They decided to tag team this year's Mayor race because between running the restaurant and raising their small children they actually just equal one semi-functioning human being. When Stephanie came from California and saw the parade for the first time, she was blown away because on the west coast parades were a huge "big city" event, so to be able to contribute in order to keep the parade going in their children's home town is definitely a worthwhile cause.
Amy is a senior sales agent and top producing residential broker with Real Living Coastal Real Estate in Scituate Harbor. Originally from the mid-west she resides in Scituate with her three children and in her free time enjoys boating, running, cooking and traveling. Amy is a Realtor with South Shore Association of Realtors, Mass Association of Realtors, and National Association of Realtors
Craig has been a Scituate homeowner for several years and is a real estate broker for Commonwealth Realty for the past 10 years. He is the owner of a non prophit called Commonwealth Community Center for the past 10 years and distributes 60 boxes each week to food pantries, homeless shelters and veterans centers.
The Mayor's Race runs from Feb. 1st to Mar. 12th.
Mayor candidates are Awesome people that put their name on the line to help raise money to fund the parade. They have fund raising events to bring in money for their bid to become the Honorary Mayor of Scituate for the year.
Every dollar raised is a vote, the one getting the most votes wins and rides in the Parade as the Mayor. All candidates may ride in the parade. Each candidate will be matched with a former mayor to help in the fund raising activities.
